A Clean and Affordable Sushi Spot in Hongdae – Sushi Jambi
There are a lot of sushi places in Seoul that can get pretty expensive, but Sushi Jambi felt reasonably priced considering it’s located in the Hongdae area.

Clean Interior and Relaxing Atmosphere
The first thing I noticed when I walked in was how clean and minimal the interior looked.
The white-toned design and soft lighting gave the place a calm atmosphere, and the window seats felt especially comfortable.
I visited around 3 PM, so it wasn’t crowded at all, which made the whole experience feel even more quiet and relaxing.

Sushi Sets That Feel Worth the Price
They offer several different sushi set options, and most of the basic sets are priced in the high 10,000 won to low 20,000 won range, which honestly felt pretty reasonable for Hongdae.
The sets also come with chawanmushi (Japanese steamed egg) and mini udon, so the meal felt more filling than expected.

Fresh Sushi with Light Smoky Flavor
The sushi itself was easy to eat because the rice portions weren’t too large.
The salmon was soft and rich without feeling heavy, while the flatfish had a lighter and cleaner taste.
One of the most memorable pieces for me was the scallop sushi with a slight grilled aroma on top. The smoky flavor worked really well.

Surprisingly Good Mini Udon
The mini udon that came with the set was also surprisingly satisfying. The broth was light and clean rather than overly salty, so it paired nicely with the sushi.
They also served a few complimentary pieces, including lightly seared fish sushi and sushi topped with aged kimchi.
The slightly charred flavor gave it a different texture and taste compared to regular sushi, and the kimchi balanced out the richness nicely.

Easy Ordering for Foreign Travelers
I think this place is also convenient for foreign visitors.
Ordering is done through a QR system, and if you use your phone’s translation feature, you can easily check the menu and place an order even if you don’t speak any Korean.

Highballs and Late Dinner Vibes
They also have a good variety of highballs, so it seems like a nice place to stop by in the evening for sushi and drinks.
If you’re looking for a clean and reasonably priced sushi spot in Hongdae, Sushi Jambi is definitely worth checking out.
